Creamy white sauce, rich meaty mince sauce, pasta sheets and a whole lot of cheddar cheese, makes the perfect delicious homemade lasagna. This is one easy and tasty dish, once you know the layering process you can make this with your eyes closed.

Delicious Homemade Lasagna

Ingredients
- For the meat
1 large onion
1/2 green onion
700g regular mince
4 grated tomatoes
3 tablespoons tomato paste
Salt and pepper to taste
- For the white sauce
125g butter
2 tablespoons flour
1l milk
Grated cheddar cheese
Directions
- Heat oven to 180°C
- Fry chopped onions over medium high heat until translucent
- Add mince and fry until there is no pink, add salt and pepper to taste
- Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste and seasoning. Simmer for 15 minutes – or until it resembles meat sauce
- In another pot, melt butter, add flour and make a paste. Then add 1 cup milk and stir until thickens up, continue stirring while adding milk gradually until you get the consistency you want
- Grease bowl with butter. Add a layer of mince, white sauce and lasagne sheets. Repeat the process until you get to the top
- Finish with pasta, mince, white sauce and cheddar cheese.
- Bake 45 minutes or until browned
- Rest for 15 minutes before cutting

- The trick to a smooth white sauce is to keep stirring to ensure no lumps form
